The overall goal of the River Project was a complete overhaul of a late 1960's ranch-style home, updating it cosmetically inside and out to improve livability and resale value. This project entailed complete flooring replacement with pre-finished hardwood floors in the kitchen, dining room, living room and entry, carpet in the hallway and bedrooms, tile in the laundry room, half bath, and master bath, and vinyl flooring in the guest bath. The kitchen was completely remodeled with new rustic cherry cabinets, granite countertops, slate tile backsplash, and new stainless appliances. The master bath was completely remodeled with a new vanity, and slate tile countertops, floor, and custom walk-in shower. All plumbing fixtures throughout were replaced with new. All new doors, hardware and trim package were installed throughout. The electrical panel was upgraded, and can lighting and new light fixtures were added to the interior and exterior of the house. Skylights were installed in the living room to increase natural light and open the ceiling for a more spacious feel. Finally, a reconfiguration of the master bedroom and bathroom created room for a large walk-in closet for the master bedroom, as well as a small walk-in closet for the second bedroom of this 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home. The exterior was updated with new trim and some new siding, plus paint, light fixtures, and a new roof to improve overall curb appeal.
